Chinese 2 :) (also English, French and Dutch)

If you want to have a conversation in China, here are some sentences with English, French and Dutch translations. Red = English
Pink = Chinese
Orange = French
Green = Dutch

Hey,

Hey!!

I know I want to make more Chinese articles, but I'm very busy now with school. I have this week a big Netherlands test and a Chinese test. In the weekend I'll make an article. I promise!

Last time Janneke posted a lot of articles. This is because she has her own blog :o Her blog is called: http://justjanneke.blogspot.nl/ It's very dissapointing for the people who can't understand Dutch. It's totaly Dutch, because she don't want to translate all her articles.

I keep my promiss and I'll see you next weekend!

Quotes and me

Quotes… I love them! Sometimes it almost feels like they were made for you. I have this feeling often when I look on Twitter. Today, I’m going to share these quotes and pictures with you.

This is a quote that inspires me very much. I sometimes feel down, because people ask too many things from me or because I feel like I’m trying very hard and but it still isn’t good enough. Then I’ll look at these kind of pictures and I’ll feel happy again!

Yeah… I have a crush on someone! :) For like 1 to 2 years now, but I’m just scared to tell him how I feel. We’re good friends, and I’m scared that he doesn’t feel the same way and it would become very awkward between the 2 of us, but Nathalie and Evie say that they’re sure he likes me too and that we’re cute together :) But still, I don't know...

Haha, I just have to laugh when I read this quote! It’s true… There are people that I love to be around with, like my friends, family and crush! :) There are also people that I love to avoid, like when I’m angry at that person. And then there are also people that I’d love to punch in the face :p But only when you’re being very annoying or rude!

It’s so true… The picture says enough! ;)

So this was it for now! I hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know what you think, what your favourite quote is and which quote feels like it was made for you!

Xoxo,
Janneke!

Queensday 2013

Queensday!

Here, in Holland, we celebrate Queensday every year, at April the 30th. I don't know sure if everybody of you, in Russia or the United States or another country, know it, but in Holland, almost everybody celebrate it.

Change
Next year, there's no Queensday anymore! It will change into Kingsday, because our queen is going to abdicate. Beatrix was 33 years queen of the Netherlands and she's already 75 years old, so I think she deserves it. On Queensday this year, prince Willem-Alexander will be King Willem-Alexander. Because of the date of his birthday, April 27th, Kingsday is next year on that day.

What are we going to do?
I don't already know what I'm going to do, but I can tell you what a lot of other people do at queensday.
The royal family
Every year, the royal family is going to visit 1 or 2 towns in Holland. They're going to walk through the streets and the people beside the street can shake their hand, give them a present or (if you lucky), you can make a photograph with one of them. There are a lot of activities for the family, such as danceperformances, games and 'koekhappen' (see photo).
Fair
The 'flea market' (vrijmarkt) is very populair. People can sell or buy old stuff. This is very populair, especially in Amsterdam.
Festival
There are a lot of festivals and concerts on Queensday. In the night before and after Queensday are also a lot of people who going out and party the whole night.

The queen and the princess
The queen always wears a hat. They are very funny sometimes, so I'll show you some photo's:

Wauw, paars staat haar goed!
Deze hoed past perfect bij haar jurk

Our princess, Princess Máxima, wears always very modern and beautiful dresses and clothes:

Hi girls!

So, I thought it would be fun if I did a tag. I love reading tags from other bloggers, so I thought: why wouldn’t I do this?
I chose to do the ‘this or that tag’. This is a tag where you have to choose between two things every time. I thought it would be a lot of fun to make, but also hard because sometimes I thought: ‘OMG! I can’t choose...’ I  also think that it will be fun and interesting for you to read and compare with your own opinion.
I hope you’ll enjoy!

LOTD: Think Pink!

Permalink voor ingesloten afbeelding

Hi girls!

Today I have a Look Of The Day (LOTD) for you: Think Pink. I’m going to show you what my look of the day was (hair, makeup, nails) and how I made it. I took the colour pink (and a little bit of purple) and made a look with it. I’ll put a list with all the products I used at the end of the article and I hope you’ll enjoy!
- Notice: I don’t wear this much makeup on a regular, daily basis. It was just for this article and I like to do this, because doing makeup is my hobby. I also look very red on the pictures, which I don't in real life.

So first, I’m going to tell you how I did my hair. I think it looks very cute and it is very simple to create if you know the technique. I have bangs, so I wanted them to get out of my face. I took 2 bobby pins and pinned my bangs up on my head. I crossed the 2 bobby pins, so my hair would be very secure.
I took the rest of my hair to one side and divided it into 2 sections. I twisted the both sections in the same direction: away from my face (counter clockwise). Then I twisted them together in the opposite direction: to my face (clockwise). If you do this, the hair will be nice and secure and will not untwist again. It’s hard to explain, but if you don’t understand the technique, you can also watch this video by bebexo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV8-1-ggLf8
The last step is to put a cute headband in your hair if you want to.
Then I did my makeup. Of course I started off with my moisturizer. This is very important, because it keeps your skin healthy and moisturized. Then I did my basic face makeup.
I started off with foundation. I applied this on my whole face and I took it a little bit down my neck as well. This takes away a little bit of redness in my face and gives it a healthy glow. Then I applied concealer under my eyes (this makes you look more awake) and on red spots or pimples (like the big one on my forehead, LOL :P) on my face to cover them up a little bit. After that, I applied compact powder to set the foundation and concealer and to make my face more matt, so I won’t look oily.
I also applied blush on the apples of my cheeks, to bring more colour to my face and I think it looks cute! Then I applied some eyebrow filler by Catrice to fill in the little gaps in my eyebrows.

Moving on to the eyes. I first applied eyeshadow base on my eyelids to make the eyeshadows look more pigmented, it helps the eyeshadows to stay on all day long and it prevents creasing.
Then I applied white eyeshadow as a highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes and on my brow bone. After that, I applied pink eyeshadow on my eyelid up until the crease.
Then I applied purple eyeshadow to my crease (the fold between your eyelid and your brow bone) to add more dimension. The last colour I used is a darker shade of purple and I applied it to the outer corners of my eyes (in a little >). This gives even more dimension to your eyes. I also took some of this colour, and applied it to my lower lash line. Then I blended all the eyeshadows together with a fluffy, soft blending brush to make sure that there are no harsh lines.
After that, I applied some gel liner to my upper lash line and my water lines because I like the look of it and it makes my eyes stand out more. Then I curled my eyelashes with an eyelash curler and applied mascara to my upper and lower lashes. I have short lashes and they’re also not very curled, so when I apply mascara you can hardly notice. That’s why I like to curl my lashes, but if you don’t need it, don’t do it. It’s not very good for your eyelashes to curl them every day (I don't do it every day too).
The last thing I did for my makeup, was putting a nude lipstick on my lips. This completes the look.

Then moving on to the nails. I applied 2 coats of pink nail polish to all my nails. Then I applied a coat of pink glitter topcoat to the nails of my thumb and ring finger. After that, I applied little hearts (rhinestones) to these fingers and covered all my nails with a layer of topcoat. Also a fun fact to know: if you put topcoat on top of a rhinestone, it makes it matt.

Chinese :0

Hello.
On my school, I follow a Chinese class! It's hard, but also great to learn this language.
The people in my class are very nice! There's a girl in my class called Tippy. She is from another school. Next year she'll be in the same class as me :)
During Chinese lessons we learn simple things like: me, you, to be, good, hello, also, thank you and goodbye. The simple things to have a conversation.
We also learn grammar, pronunciation (very important, because you can say 1 word on 4 different ways and it has another meaning), learn numbers and how you count these numbers on your fingers, because the numbers higher than 5 are different, because you use one hand.

The zero is called líng:

The one is called yī

The two is called èr

The three is called sānn

The four is called sì

The five is called wŭ

The six is called liù

The seven is called qī

The eight is called bā

The nine is called jiŭ

The ten is called shí

These were the numbers 0 to 10. Last Chinese lesson we played bingo in Chinese :)

Next time, I'll learn you how you put your fingers and which words you need to have a conversation.

xx Evie
